On Thursday night October 8th the JV Magruder Colonels faced the JV Blake Bengals for the Magruder Homecoming game. Magruder after a 3 game winning streak not ready to lose had only 3 day to prepare for this game after winning 2 of the winning streak games 13-0 and 1 game 14-0. Magruder Defense fighting hard ends the first quarter 0-0 with a couple of close calls until the second quarter with Blake scoring a touchdown in the 6th minute, Blake went for the two points but Magruder colonels defense put a stop to it leaving the first half 0-6. Coming into the second half Magruder linemen pass blocking their hearts out give their QB enough time to through a touch down bringing the score 7-6. Magruder defense quickly recover the ball letting the offense take over the Field. Unfortunately the offense had to call for the punt team letting Blake score a 60 yard touchdown leaving the third quarter 7-13. In the fourth quarter Magruder defense refused to go down without a fight stoping Blake in the 1 yard line leaving it up the the offense. Unfortunately offense did lead to pick giving blake a touchdown ending the game 7-20. Now the Magruder colonels prepare to face Kennedy on October 15th to keep their spirit alive.
