Patterson Mill defeated Edgewood to win the UCBAC championship 47-39 and improve to 21-2 on the season. The huskies found themselves down 23-9 after the first and down 17 at one point in the first half. We cut the lead to 8 by the break and the huskies outscored the rams 18-2 in the 4th quarter to seal the victory. The huskies were led by a pair of underclassmen. Sophomore Sophia Marchena led all scorers with 17 points and freshman Anthi Nezis added 15 points. Once again senior Sophia Trinh was a difference maker defensively with 5 steals. -Coach Burrows
After dropping two straight, the Fallston Cougars got back on track in dominant fashion, defeating Aberdeen HS, 64-11.The Cougars were led by Brooke Bolesta with 18 points and 15 rebounds, followed by Andrea Dorezas with 16 points. Kendyl Disciorio added 12 points, while Maddie Morehead, Corinne Wood, Maura Lawall, and Kaylee Dillard each chipped in 4 points to round out a balanced offensive attack.

The Fallston Cougars delivered a dominant performance against the Aberdeen Eagles, earning an overwhelming 71–9 victory Tuesday afternoon. The Cougars’ defense was especially impressive, holding Aberdeen scoreless in the second quarter and keeping constant pressure throughout the game. Andrea Dorezas led the way with 15 points and 6 rebounds, while Brooke Bolesta contributed 13 points and 6 rebounds. The Cougars' strong team effort on both ends of the court made it clear from early on, as they controlled the pace and never allowed Aberdeen to gain momentum.

In the 1A state quarterfinals, the 17-8 Patterson Mill Huskies traveled around the beltway to take on the 22-3 Pikesville Panthers. The Panthers got off to a hot start, leading 11-0 after less than two and a half minutes. After Patterson Mill called a time out, the offense was able to rally to stay in the game, going into the first quarter break down 19-12. From there, Pikesville's defense turned on. In the second quarter, Patterson Mill was held to four points while Pikesville put up 23 of their own, making the score 42-16 at halftime. Following a two point third quarter and with a running clock, the Huskies were unable to come back from the large deficit, falling to the Panthers by a final score of 66-29. The Panthers were led this game by junior guard NyJae Malik-El, scoring twenty total points. Pikesville's defense was the highlight of this game, as the team combined for 28 total steals, led by Malik-El with eight and junior Mariah Jones-Bey with seven. Patterson Mill has not uploaded stats from this game on Maxpreps. While the Huskies' season has come to a close, Pikesville looks ahead to a neutral site match up against the Forest Park Foresters at Severna Park High School next Tuesday, 3/11. The Foresters come into the game following a dominant 67-21 home victory against the Chesapeake Tigers.

NyJae Malik-El led the way with 20 points, 8 steals & 6 assists - Mariah Jones-Bey stuffed the stats with 13 points, 7 assists, 7 steals, 7 rebounds & 2 blocks - Maya Chase added 12 points, 5 rebounds & 3 steals in the win.
