Sherwood Powers Pass Blake D Line 14-13 in Thrilling Overtime Victory Week 4 The tension at Blake is high; it's the 4th quarter with 4:04 left on the clock. The Warriors are down by 7, and Blake is eyeing a major upset against the number 2 Warriors. The ball is in Sherwood's possession, and it's 4th down at the Blake 38-yard line, with 18 to go. A timeout has been called to decide Sherwood's next course of action in what could very well be their last chance in this game. However, in the heat of the moment, Sherwood quarterback Matt Larson delivered, stepping up in the pocket to launch a 30-yard pass to Kaleb Brown. Moments later, Jason Washington pushed his way across the goal line, and Brody Pingon’s kick locked the game in a fierce tie. After Blake fought back to Sherwood's 35, the Warrior D-Line bedded down, forcing the game into a decisive overtime. The Warriors struck first in OT, as Frankie Saunders found a seam in Blake's defense and punched in a rushing TD, giving Sherwood a 14-7 lead. However, they weren't out of the jungle yet. The Bengals clawed right back, with quarterback Wilton Cameron threading a perfect pass for a touchdown, bringing the game to 14-13 Sherwood. Then, Blake made their gamble. Instead of kicking for the extra point, their offense stayed on the field. They were going to try for two. A win-or-die scenario. At the snap, Wilt Cameron plunged forward on a quarterback sneak, but Sherwood’s defensive line formed an impenetrable line. With the middle out of the picture, Cameron pushed outside, aiming for the end zone in a final race for the win. However, he never crossed the line. London Hardy closed the gap in a flash, driving the quarterback into the grass just inches short of Blake Victory. The Sherwood sideline erupted as the whole team poured onto the field in amazement. Sherwood was victorious.
