No. 14 seed Poolesville Boys Volleyball traveled to face third-seed Rockville Thursday night in the opening round of the 2024 MCPS Boys Volleyball Tournament, coming away with an upset win, 3-2. The Springbrook Boys Volleyball Team suffered a big loss against Seneca Valley. The closest Springbrook got to Seneca Valley was in the first set, although losing with a score of 23-25. They never got closer in games 2 and 3. The Blue Devils played without primary setter Marcelo Wheeler who was out for a sprain ankle and Coach Molina who was under a one-game suspension. The passes weren't there for the backup setters who were unable to launch any counter attack against a solid Seneca Valley team. Seneca Valley capitalized on the Sun Devils errors and dug a deeper hole for the visiting team and winning it in straight sets.

This is the first time both teams are playing each other, Though Seneca has a (projected all county Samuel Goh setter 2025) Sherwood also has a triple threat offensively though Sherwood defense varies. I think that this will be close and should be a fun match!!
