Drove down to Northeast HS for softball game between the Glen Burnie Gophers & Northeast Eagles. Rain was in the forecast, however, the game was updated to a 4:15pm start time. This allowed for the children to run the bases at the end of the game for their kids night. The Gophers put forth their best effort. The Northeast team remained dominant throughout the entire game. BIG SHOUTS to the GOPHERS, keep working hard ladies. Congratulations to the EAGLES on the win. THANK YOU Northeast HS for having us out and allowing us to film. Also THANK YOU NORTHEAST HS for the complimentary popcorn and creating such friendly atmosphere. Enjoy the highlights. FINAL SCORE: GOPHERS - 0 EAGLES - 10 👀 MFV U📺🔗⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rOXYpU2MuU

In a dominant display of skill and strategy, the Chesapeake Cougars secured a resounding 14-0 victory over the Glen Burnie varsity softball team Monday night. Leading the charge for the Cougars was Alana Watts, whose exceptional batting performance saw her going 2-2 with a powerful home run and driving in three crucial runs for her team. Adding to the offensive onslaught were Riley Price, who went 2-4 with two RBIs, and Allison Schaefer, contributing with a 2-4 performance and an additional RBI. However, it wasn't just the offense that shone for the Chesapeake Cougars. Their defensive prowess was equally formidable, with pitcher Amya Murphy commanding the mound with precision and authority. Murphy delivered a masterful performance, allowing a mere two hits while striking out six Glen Burnie batters, effectively shutting down any attempts at a comeback. *ChatGPT assisted in writing this article*
