The weather was in the 50’s, however being I was just getting over a cold, felt more like the 30’s. The Gophers looked ready. The Wildecats seemed fully charged. It was the perfect atmosphere for some high school lacrosse competition. 1ST HALF - The Gophers started off strong and within a few minutes had the first points of the game in their favor. However, Wilde Laken did answered back. The game was tied 2-2 for a bit, until Lake scored putting themselves ahead by 1. They went in to the half leading 3-2. 2ND HALF - This half is where the Wildecats began to pull away. They added four more goals to their lead being able to manuver down field and score quickly. Their attack strategy in the first half GB figured out. Wilde Lake seemed to have changed the pace helping them score faster. However, in the fourth, the Gophers started to make a comeback. Seemingly taking more shots helped cut down Wildecats lead. They fell short by one point. Their effort was tremendous!!! Hats off to them. Congratulations to the Wildecats on their victory. Kaleah Anderson (Glen Burnie) and Chloe Greenway (Oakland Mills) earned MVP honors in a back-and-forth battle. Anderson got things rolling early, knocking down a three to open the scoring—setting the tone for a game full of shot attempts on both sides. A standout from Anne Arundel showed out as well, making a big impact throughout the game. Anne Arundel led 37-29 at the half, but Howard County came out of the break firing, going on a 12-0 run to flip the momentum. Lauer caught fire in the second half, drilling a logo three and following it up with another from the top of the key. Howard County took a 64-60 lead with just over 3 minutes left and held a one-point edge with 30 seconds remaining. But Anne Arundel responded with a clutch bucket to take the lead late. Anne Arundel escapes with a 69-68 win. 🔥

Northeast looked to continue their undefeated streak against a tough opponent in the Glen Burnie Gophers. Glen Burnie is coached by Hall of Fame, Mike Rudd and led by #2 Chris M and #22 Kevin B, who just came off a DOMINATING win over their rival. The Gophers were looking to upset the Eagles to keep their streak going with their young team. The game started out in of back and forth, with Northeast in foul trouble early. Coach Roger had a deep bench, and substituted Sammy to help the Eagles extend their lead. Glen Burnie kept fighting all the way till the half. 2ND HALF continued the same, with Northeast controlling the game and everyone contributing in scoring, trying to keep the ball out of GB superstar Kevin B’s hands. Close to the end of the 4th period, GB’s Chris Maddox took control trying to make a Gopher comeback. However, O’Dea had his boys calm, controlled, and disciplined as the Eagles held on to win, 54-41. Drove down to Northeast HS for softball game between the Glen Burnie Gophers & Northeast Eagles. Rain was in the forecast, however, the game was updated to a 4:15pm start time. This allowed for the children to run the bases at the end of the game for their kids night. The Gophers put forth their best effort. The Northeast team remained dominant throughout the entire game. BIG SHOUTS to the GOPHERS, keep working hard ladies. Congratulations to the EAGLES on the win. THANK YOU Northeast HS for having us out and allowing us to film. 🏀🏀 MPSSAA 4A EAST Boys Regional Championship Pulled up to a sold out Glen Burnie vs Meade game, which was for the MPSSAA 4A East Regional Championship. Matchup was lit from start to finish as both teams fought it out. The game was very fast paced going up and down the court, steals, dunks, and of course some big three’s to add to the crowd ooo’s and ahhh’s. BIG SHOUTS to the GLEN BURNIE GOPEHRS on their season. 📣🏀🏀 BIG HOOPS BATTLE AT FORT MEADE. It was no joke coming in to the STABLE, as Glen Burnie & Meade were ready for war. The game was pretty much a battle all throughout each period. From blocked shots, tres, and scoop and scores, these teams were out for blood. It was absolutely exciting watching these two hash it out. Much success to both the GOPHERS and MUSTANGS. 4A got some problems on their hands.
