The Albert Einstein Titans remain win less and move to a 0-18 record after a 77-38 home defeat against rivals Montgomery Blair high school, while the Trailblazers move up to a 13-5 record. The Titans and Trailblazers have had a long heated history in several matches, but the Trailblazers remained victorious after this blowout win, sweeping the Titans for the 2024 season. The 1st quarter began with the Titans staying close with the Trailblazers, with the score being 11-15 with two minutes left, but it was later seen that Einstein kept causing crucial mistakes such as missing two pointers in the paint, struggling in scoring free throws, and constantly losing the ball due to Blair's defense. Blair worked off these crucial mistakes Einstein was demonstrating, which led to a 45-18 score at the end of the 2nd quarter. Heading into the second half of the game, Blair's defense was seen dominating the game, with the Titans often turning the ball over with intercepted passes or swatted possessions. Blair was seen playing tight double coverage on the titans while in the paint. Blair was also more consistent in scoring three-pointers compared to Einstein, after a strong offensive scheme which allowed they more separation from the defense and time to shoot the ball off. This led to a result of Einstein scoring 20 points in the second half compared to Blair's 32 points, ultimately ending the game with a big point differential for the Trailblazers. Einstein Continues to seek their first win with their upcoming last game of the season against the 15-4 Spring Brook blue devils, while the Blair Trailblazers plan to add one last win in their next match against the 11-8 Poolesville Falcons.
