It was no struggle for the Warriors at Sherwood High School on a warm October night as they handily defeated the Northwest Jaguars 44-0. Northwest could not get anything going, getting stopped by a powerful Sherwood defense that had a handful of sacks, along with a tip drill interception caught by standout athlete Melanie Payne. Speaking of Payne, she was the clear star of the game with multiple TD grabs, showcasing a dominant presence on the field. Next week Sherwood heads up north to battle Thomas Johnson from Frederick county for the final game of the regular season. Northwest will have a bout with Whitman to end their respective regular season.
