No. 22 North Augusta routed the 25th ranked White Knoll Timberwolves 35-7 in a road win. Both offenses struggled early as both the Yellow Jackets and Timberwolves fumbled in the first quarter, but neither team got anything out of the other’s turnover as the quarter finished scoreless. Before the end of the half, White Knoll scored the game’s first touchdown of the game through the air, putting them ahead 7-0 at halftime. From there, the North Augusta offense exploded. Three minutes into the third, senior quarterback Collin Tillman connected with junior Zay Harris for a three-yard game-tying score. At the end of the quarter, the Yellow Jackets took the lead on Tillman’s second passing touchdown, this one to junior Kydre Wright. North Augusta continued to pour it on from there. In the fourth quarter, Tillman and Wright connected again for a 25-yard score. That was quickly followed by an Akeam Williams 38-yard pick six, and to put the icing on the cake, Jayden Hatcher scored a 23-yard rushing touchdown, growing the lead to 35-7, this game’s final score. Following the loss, White Knoll, who started the season ranked No. 9, fell to 0-4. They’ll search for their first win in week five on the road against Goose Creek. North Augusta improved to 3-1 with the win. They’ll look for their fourth straight win in next week on the road against the Aiken Fighting Green Hornets.
