The four-time defending state champion and second-ranked Dutch Fork Silver Foxes dominated the No. 18 Gray Collegiate Eagles 42-7 in week six. Dutch Fork started the scoring early in the first as Jaxon Knotts found Leek Miller in the back of the end zone for six. Just after, senior linebacker Josiah Robinson blocked a GCA punt, giving the Silver Foxes great field position and setting up Knotts to muscle a run up the middle, running right threw Gray Collegiate defenders and into the end zone for a seven yard score. In the second, Knotts connected with sophomore Michael Robinson on a screen pass, setting Robinson up to score his team’s third touchdown of the half. Down three scores, Gray Collegiate senior Royce Williamson intercepted a pass well into Dutch Fork territory. He then scored his team’s only touchdown of the game. The Eagles hoped that that score would spark momentum, but just two plays later, Jaxon Knotts and Leek Miller connected again, this time on a screen pass that Miller would run in for a 50-yard touchdown. In the end, Dutch Fork would go on to score another pair of touchdowns, beating the Eagles 42-7. Jaxon Knotts finished the day 26/34 with 282 yards, four touchdowns, and the interception. Senior Quintin Wilson led the team on the ground with 10 carries for 115 yards and a score. For Gray Collegiate, now 2-4, sophomore Xavier Wright was 18/30 on the day with 235 yards, a touchdown, and a pair of interceptions. Trevon Williamson was GCA’s leading rusher, picking up 50 yards on 16 carries.
