Boiling Springs needed overtime to defeat the Clover Eagles 27-26 on the road in their week four match. The Bulldogs were led offensively senior quarterback Imri Logan who accounted for 94 yards through the air and 12 on the ground with three total touchdowns (two passing and one rushing). Sophomore Malik Wannamaker averaged 11.7 yards per carry, having six rushes for 70 yards throughout the game. Junior RJ Byrd finished with 29 rushing yards and a touchdown. Boiling Springs’ receiving core struggled throughout the contest as the team’s leading receiver was Djay Leak who accounted for three catches for 18 yards and a touchdown. Senior Cameron Stevens finished the game 3/4 on PAT attempts. Clover’s air attack also struggled throughout the game. Senior quarterback Aaron Shealey finished the day 11/26 with 107 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. He did contribute 81 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries on the ground to lead the team. Senior Braylan Thivierge had three catches for 35 yards and a touchdown. Kicker Tristan Bingham went 2/3 on PATs and 2/2 on field goals with a long of 41. The Eagles head into week five in search of the season win of the season against York while Boiling Springs looks to stay undefeated at home against Hillcrest.
