2026 has not gotten off to the start that Randallstown football has wanted, but they broke through in a big way in week four, avenging a 2025 regular season loss, earning their first win of the season in a 32-22 win over Hereford. Early in the first, the Hereford defense recovered a fumble at Randallstown’s 35-yard line, setting up Yale commit Reed Shilling to run it in on a jet sweep, putting the Bulls ahead. Randallstown immediately responded, returning the ensuing kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown, but a failed two-point try kept them down by a point. Four minutes into the second, Randallstown connected on a deep shot to an open receiver for a 55-yard receiving touchdown, and after a successful two-point conversion this time, they led Hereford 14-7. That lead was then extended on a six-yard rushing touchdown with three minutes to play, making it a 20-7 Randallstown lead at halftime. The Rams continued to grow their lead into the third quarter. Early in the quarter on second and four from the Hereford 15, Randallstown completed another touchdown drive with a 15-yard rushing touchdown. After the score, the Rams fell to 1/4 on two-point conversion attempts, as the try was thrown out of bounds. Hereford finally responded with their first touchdown of the game as quarterback Brandon Zetlmeisl threaded the needle through two Randallstown defensive backs for a 25-yard touchdown, making it a 26-14 game after three. On the second play of the fourth quarter, Randallstown extended their lead with a 73-yard rushing touchdown from No. 0, putting the game on ice. Reed Shilling caught a 15-yard touchdown later in the quarter, and then completed the octopus on a run up the middle. Shilling’s octopus would be the final points this game had as Tim Brown secured his first win as Randallstown’s head coach, beating Hereford 32-22. The Rams will look to improve to 2-3 next week as they’ll hit the road for the first time since week one, traveling to Catonsville to face the Comets. Meanwhile, Hereford, now 1-3 and on a two-game losing streak, will look to bounce back against Parkville at home on October 2.
