The Westminster High School Girls Lacrosse enters this season with something to prove—and plenty of reason for confidence. After a postseason run that fell short of expectations last year, the Owls are turning that disappointment into motivation as they look to start the new campaign on the right note. One of the biggest strengths for Westminster this season is experience. The roster is packed with returning players who saw meaningful minutes a year ago, giving the team a level of chemistry and understanding that can’t be taught overnight. From the midfield to the defensive end, the continuity allows the Owls to play faster, communicate better, and trust one another in high-pressure moments. That familiarity could be a key factor early in the season as they aim to build momentum right away. Last season ended sooner than the team had hoped, leaving a lingering sense of unfinished business. The early postseason exit wasn’t just a loss—it was a learning moment. Throughout the offseason, players have used that experience as fuel, focusing on improving fundamentals, conditioning, and mental toughness. There’s a clear sense that this group doesn’t just want to return to the playoffs—they want to make a deeper, more meaningful run. Leadership will also play a major role in Westminster’s success. With so many returners, the team benefits from athletes who understand the demands of a full season and the intensity of playoff lacrosse. Those veterans set the tone in practice and games alike, helping guide younger players while keeping the team locked in on its goals. As the season begins, all eyes will be on how quickly the Owls can put it all together. A strong start could set the tone for everything that follows, especially in a competitive schedule where every game matters. With experience, motivation, and a chip on their shoulder, Westminster is poised to make noise early. If the Owls can channel last year’s disappointment into consistent, focused play, this could be the season where everything clicks. And if that happens, don’t be surprised to see Westminster not only return to the postseason but go much further than before.

Towson MD, March 21, 2025 by John Steuart The Dulaney Lions notched up their 5th straight victory over the Towson Generals. The spirited contest was an even game through the last minutes of the first half with the Lions leading by a goal until Maxine Mackel scored twice with minutes remaining in the half. Sarah Crowler also hammered two goals into the nets in the second half, with the Lions in the lead to a 12-10 victory at the final horn. The Towson and Dulaney fans were loud and lively. At one point, the referee yelled to the game timers when the game clock stopped for the second time during game play, "Hey, what's going on? That's the second time." A Dulaney fan shot back, "That's because the home team is behind."
Tough draw and game for Whitman especially with 3 starting seniors not available for the game. Highlights for Whitman include a hat trick from Jr. Grace Nemeroff and 6 underclassman starting and finishing the game. See you next year Dulaney. countysports.zone/scores/view/QyVYGLBEzWwnZ4NtZ6hGm
