The Magruder Colonels come down short against the RM Rockets in a tough game ending in 60-78. The Colonels currently contain a record of 10-6 with 10 wins and 6 losses. After an outstanding 5 win streak, RM breaks the streak this past friday. The Colonels still have 4 games left of the regular season, here are some words Senior Captain Joy Dovy has to say about what the season has taught him so far,“ This season has taught me the real difference between motivation and discipline. There’s been some great wins this year and some tough moments too, and having to go back to practice after those tough moments was hard. but I learned that to be successful you have to do what you don’t want to sometimes, even with no motivation, and that’s a quality all great people have.” The Magruder Boys Varsity team have had their ups and downs throughout the season which has impacted the team in many ways. Captain Joy says,” As One of the Captains of the team, I try my best to offer my support and also to remind them that failure is apart of the game. Every win in basketball ur guaranteed to make mistakes so I try to let them know its a game of makes and misses.” The Colonels face the Watkins Mill ‘Rines on Monday, February 10th at 5:30pm @WM which is also a DIVISON GAME‼️ We shall see what the Colonels have in their bag to bring to this game.
