C. Milton Wright High School vs Joppatowne High School

Dylan Sander delivered a standout performance, leading the C. Milton Wright Varsity Mustangs to a 63-45 win over Joppatowne HS on Monday. Sander scored 17 points to help guide the Mustangs to a dominant victory. From the opening tip, C. Milton Wright was in control, never trailing throughout the game and building a lead as large as 24 points. The Mustangs started strong with a 10-0 run and never looked back, outpacing Joppatowne with an 11-2 surge to extend their lead to 31-16 at halftime. In the first quarter, C. Milton Wright played with precision, dishing out six assists and outscoring Joppatowne 18-6. Their offense was efficient inside, hitting 22 of 39 shots from the paint. Jordan Ross and Noah Clarke contributed from beyond the arc, with Clarke leading the team in assists (8) and the Mustangs shooting 6-for-15 (40%) from three-point range. C. Milton Wright’s defense was stifling, registering six blocked shots and 12 steals. The Mustangs controlled the boards with 30 rebounds, led by Kyle Ashman’s eight. The team also moved the ball well, finishing with 18 assists on 28 made field goals. In addition to Sander’s 17 points, Ashman (10 points), Clarke (10 points), Ross (8 points), Jordan Franklin (7 points), Shaun Lauderdale (5 points), Henry Buyse (4 points), and Brody Hichkad (2 points) all contributed to the win. Next up for the Mustangs is a matchup at Harford Tech on Tuesday.
