Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School vs Quince Orchard High School

On Wednesday, the BCC Barons came into the Cougar Dome to face off against the boy's varsity soccer team. QO came out the gate ready to fight, they were using their speed to try and take advantage of BCC's mistakes in transition. But unlucky for them, BCC was almost flawless on defense in the first half. Around 20 minutes into the first half, BCC opens the gate with a header that hits the back of the net. This score of 1-0 lasted the rest of the game as Quince Orchard could not find an answer for the BCC defense. One of BCC's keys to defense this game was the double and triple teaming of their speedy players such as Matty Gormley (jr). Some of the bright spots for QO were the two defenders, Spencer Davis, and Kyle Silverman. Overall, it was not a great outing for the Cougars team as they fell to 0-1, while BCC improved to 2-0. It is however only the first game of the season, so expect more fire from this Cougar squad next time around.
