The C. Milton Wright Varsity Mustangs secured a 55-38 victory over Aberdeen HS on Thursday after a thrilling contest with seven lead changes. Dylan Sander led the Mustangs with 18 points, while the team displayed solid play on both ends of the floor. C. Milton Wright took a 25-19 lead into halftime and never relinquished the advantage. With the game tied at 31, the Mustangs went on a decisive 15-0 run to pull away in the third quarter. The Mustangs’ defense was exceptional, recording three blocks and 16 steals. They also dominated the boards, grabbing 29 rebounds, with Sander pulling down a team-high eight. Offensively, C. Milton Wright moved the ball well, registering 19 assists on 23 made baskets. The Mustangs hit 8 of 22 (36%) from beyond the arc, with Jordan Ross and Ryan Kilchenstein each contributing multiple three-pointers. In addition to Sander’s 18 points, other key contributors included Shaun Lauderdale (10 points), Kilchenstein (9 points), Ross (8 points), Noah Clarke (3 points), Xavier Holley (3 points), Jordan Franklin (2 points), and Brody Hichkad (2 points). C. Milton Wright will look to build on this win when they face Havre de Grace High School on Friday.
