https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eXgRofy0T8 🏀🏀 2026 MIAA B CHAMPIONSHIP REMATCH
🆚 St. Paul’s vs Severn School 📝 Kmillz (MFVAllSportsNetwork) The lights were shining bright in CEIA Arena on the campus of UMBC. The stage was definitely set for a MIAA B Championship rematch between the St. Paul’s Crusdaers and the Severn School Admirals. The Crusaders definitely wanted to get some payback for last year’s game, while the Admirals looking to add another championship to the belt. 1ST HALF - The game was fast paced, and the Crusders struck first scoring off the tip off. But the Admirals did not fold, adding some ky three pointers that enabled them to maintain a tight game lead for the first half, 30-26.

2ND HALF - The tables turned in this half. The KEY changing agent was St. Paul’s ability to crash the boards. Rebounding turned the tide and enabled them to take the lead that Severn could not respond. The St. Paul’s Crusaders came up victorious, winning 61-53 CONGRATULATIONS Cruders, happy to see you win a championship here and in football this past fall. Keep shining GOOD JOB Admirals, don’t hold your head down. Learn, grow, and come back in the future. Proud of you.

BOTH teams here were VERY WELL COACHED Thank you for the hard work you put in.

Yesterday I got the chance to see some MIAA B Conference basketball. I saw the Friends School of Baltimore Quakers take on conference rivals St. Paul’s Crusaders. The Crusaders came in at 6-4 with notable wins against A Conference Loyola Blakefield, McDonogh, and a win against Conference rival Archbishop Curley. The Quakers came in 4-5 with notable wins against Annapolis Area Christian and Park. To begin the game the Quakers came out hot holding the Crusaders 24-21 at the half. The second half was not the same story. The Crusaders were playing great defense forcing turnovers, 3 point desperation shots, and holding the Quakers to only 9 points in the second half. On the other side of the paint the Crusaders were winning all the rebounds scoring 25 points in the second half. The game would end 33-46 making the Quakers go 4-6 and 1-2 in conference play while the Crusaders go 7-4 and now 2-1 in conference play.

I am beyond proud to share the incredible news that my high school lacrosse coach, Rick Brocato, is being inducted into the National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association’s Hall of Fame in 2024. This well-deserved honor is a testament to Coach Broc’s outstanding career, marked by his remarkable success and profound impact on the lacrosse community. Coach Broc's tenure at St. Paul’s was nothing short of extraordinary. With 241 wins over 17 seasons, he led our team to countless victories, including the unforgettable 2010 MIAA championship. His ability to inspire and guide us to our fullest potential made every game and practice an opportunity to grow and excel. Coach Broc's influence extended far beyond the field; he shaped us into better athletes and individuals. Before his celebrated coaching career, Coach Broc was a standout player at Towson High and Washington College. His dedication to the sport and his passion for coaching have left an indelible mark on all of us who had the privilege of playing under his guidance. He not only taught us the fundamentals of lacrosse but also instilled in us the values of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship. One of my proudest moments was seeing my best friend, Tony Rossi, coach alongside him at Towson High. Tony always spoke highly of Coach Broc's mentorship and the incredible bond they shared while coaching together. Their collaboration was a testament to Coach Broc's ability to inspire not just players but fellow coaches as well. The announcement of his induction has been met with widespread admiration and support from the community. Coach Broc's influence extends far beyond the wins and statistics; he has shaped the lives of countless players, helping us develop both on and off the field. His legacy is one of mentorship and leadership, and his contributions to the sport continue to inspire current and future generations. Coach Broc’s induction into the Hall of Fame underscores his exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to lacrosse. His achievements remind us of the lasting impact one dedicated coach can have on the lives of young athletes. Congratulations, Coach Broc, on this well-deserved honor! Your legacy will continue to inspire us all. Who loves ya? A Team

Amazing to see these two historic programs both produce a first round pick in this year's PLL draft. Matt Brandau from the Lakers at 7th overall and Mason Woodward a Crusader at 8.
