🆚 Severn School Admirals x Northeast Eagles Varsity Girls Volleyball Fall Season sports began this week in Maryland, so we decided to visit Northeast High School’s girls volleyball scrimmage to catch in on some of the action. The matchup: Severn School’s Admiral vs the Northeast Eagles. Looked to be some promising competition and it was!!!! GAME RECAP The first set began strong for the Eagles, as they established a strong lead beating their opponents off failed recovery attempts. Severn made every effort to catch up, the Northeast ladies were able to stay on top of thins.

The second set felt like the longest of all the matches. Northeast came out dominating for the first part. It looked as though they were capitalizing again off missed opportunities like the first. During about mid-set, the Admirals found their strength which led to them tying the game. It wasn’t much longer, they established their first lead. A bit of back and forth ensued. The Eagles tied the set at 23-23. Two key plays for Severn School secured the set victory.

The final two sets were pretty similar, the Admirals established early dominance and it was now Northeast attempting to play catchup. The lady admirals maintained there leads securing the victory for Severn School.

This game also was an excellent display of sportsmanship. Both teams congratulated each other and MFV walked away feeling pretty confident that both these squads will make waves in their perspective conferences. Northeast, seeks to maintain its voice after losing a few seniors. The IAAM’s ears ought to be ringing when Severn School makes its statements on the court. Best wishes to the Admirals and Eagles.
