Kim Lyn, assisted by Schopf, found the back of the cage. Preya Mirabile capped off the win with another goal, with an assist from Kim Lyn. A complete team effort with sharp passing and strong finishes helped Patterson Mill control the game from start to finish.

What a thrilling comeback by Aberdeen Boys Soccer.. Down 4-1 at halftime, Aberdeen storms back to take a 5-4 win in OT. Aberdeen went up in the first half 1-0, with a goal from Tobi Dossou. Elkton responded with 4 goals before the end of the half, to make the score 4-1 @ halftime. After some adjustments, Aberdeen came out the second half hot. Aberdeen had 2 goals in an 8 minute span (goal 2 from Aymaan A... and goal 3 from Bryndan Baker). Down 4-3 midway through the second half, Aberdeen was able to find the game tying goal with about 8 mins left. They got the game tying goal from Tobi Dossou (his 2nd of the game). Aberdeen continued to press and press, but could not find the game winner in regulation. Starting the OT, Elkton had pressure on Aberdeen's Defense, including 3 straight corners. But with about 2 min. to go in the first OT, Eric Dunca played a through ball to Bryndan Baker and Baker took his one v one chance with the Goalkeeper, and slotted the ball past the GK for the 5-4 Aberdeen Win. he Aberdeen varsity boys defeated Elkton in the season opener following a hard fought match by both teams. The Eagles started the contest with the first goal, but then allowed the Golden Elks to score 4 goals before rallying back late in the second half. Aberdeen Junior, Bryndan Baker (11), ended the sudden death overtime and secured the Eagles win following a breakaway goal with about 3 minutes remaining in the first overtime period. The Eagles will face Perryville at home on Thursday evening 11 September. The Golden Elks will host the Tome School at home on Monday, 15 September.
